2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Performers Announced

December is my favorite time of year, and not just because of Christmas, New Year’s Eve and all the parties. The month also brings me one of my favorite annual television events… the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Yup, I love me some supermodels sashaying on a glittered runway in their bra, panties and bedazzled outfits. I’ve been a religious viewer for as long as they’ve been airing them. Last year brought the show their best Nielsen ratings since 2002. Coming off that success, I expect the 2012 show to be the most fabulous ever.

Every year, musical acts are brought in to provide some “live” singing interspersed with all the wicked mashups. Last year brought Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Jay-Z. While Katy Perry and Akon, along with the Black Eyed Peas booked the gig for the 2010 and 2009 shows respectively. This year, the honor goes to Rihanna. The “We Found Love” singer is scheduled to perform at the upcoming event which will be taped in November and air on December 4, 2012 at 10pm on CBS. The Bajan beauty singer won’t be alone. She’ll be joined by two male solo acts as well. If you guessed Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber, then you’re correct.

No doubt, Mars will perform his latest single “Locked Out of Heaven” along with one of his hits. I fully expect Bieber to bust out “Boyfriend” as he serenades the leggy models. Is it me, or does Justin seem like he’s out of his element here? Don’t you think he’s still too young? Plus, he’s probably got a smaller figure than most of the girls ;) I kid.

The X Factor: The Two Celebrity Hosts Are…

Just when you thought all of The X Factor casting was over, you may have forgotten about the host(s). This season there are two hosts and the cat seems to be finally out of the bag as to who they are. That’s right, there are two. Up until this point, there has been plenty of speculation, just as was the case when they were casting the judges. Now, Perez Hilton has revealed exclusively who the two hosts are.

I actually think the two that have apparently been chosen will make a great team and great hosts. They both have experience in hosting capacities and they’re both recognizable faces and liked by many. One of them is a little more controversial than the other, but I think this person will prove skeptics wrong and they’ll be pleasantly surprised.

The hosts are officially Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez, according to Perez Hilton. I think they make a great pair and I can’t wait to see them once their hosting roles start. I’m loving The X Factor right now and find myself looking forward to it each week. I was previously over all of the singing shows but this new season of judges and hosts has lured me in.

‘American Idol’ Season 12 Judges: Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj & Randy Jackson

FOX officially announced the American Idol judges for Season 12, after Katie Couric spilled the beans earlier this week in an interview with Jennifer Lopez. The judges are Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and returning, Randy Jackson. Auditions begin in New York City today where hopefuls will meet host Ryan Seacrest and the four-person panel. The other audition cities include Los Angeles, Chicago, Charlotte, San Antonio, Baton Rouge and Oklahoma City.
